Professional Experience

Olivier Rivoire advises and represents Swiss and foreign clients in his specialist areas of banking and finance, corporate law, immigration law and inheritance law.

Attentive to his clients’ needs, pragmatic and determined, he advises and represents in court individuals, companies (multinationals, SMEs and start-ups) and non-governmental organizations, both in Switzerland and abroad.

Drawing on his experience as an in-house lawyer and attorney-at-law, Olivier Rivoire’s main areas of practice are: regulatory advice to financial intermediaries (in particular banks and asset managers), corporate law (in particular: company formation and liquidation, drafting of shareholder agreements, debt collection, enforcement in Switzerland of foreign judgments and arbitration awards, and contract law), immigration law, inheritance law and dispute resolution (litigation, mediation and arbitration).

In financial matters, he has been certified since 2020 by the Swiss Federal Department of Finance as a mediator within the meaning of the Federal Law on Financial Services, FinSA. He acts as Ombudsperson for the

Before joining Reiser as a partner in 2024, Olivier Rivoire was a partner for over five years in a law firm that had been established in Geneva for some thirty years. Prior to this, he had spent several years working in the legal departments of two leading Swiss and international banking institutions, as well as in the Banking Division of the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA in Bern and Zurich.
